Japan LOVES Hairspray

As the never ending promotional tour for our favorite musical, Hairspray, continued in Japan, Nikki Blonsky and Zac Efron, joined this time by director Adam Shankman, won over yet another crowd of premiere goers. And if Nikki doesn't look like she's having the time of her life doing it! Zac and Adam were obviously enjoying themselves as well. Now as far as I know, the promo tour is now over, but I'll keep you posted if I find out more ;-)

Ah, first you all get my sincere apologies for neglecting this lovely blog for the past three or four weeks. Things got a little crazy and my dearest co-blogger is off on a job hunt, all our luck to her :) But, I am back and here to stay.

So, in order to get you guys to forgive me, I am giving you a minor picspam of the events our fave 5 have been at. More images for all events can be found at the photobucket.

First up, Zac Efron. He got to spend some one-on-one time with members, old and new, of the L.A. Dodgers. Talking to his favorite players old and new, you could tell Zac was enjoying what was probably one of his favorite perks of being a "superstar."


Then, in rolls another great perk. Being at the launch party for the biggest game of the year, Halo 3. Pictured below with Master Chief, you could tell Zac had a blast as he played the game and helped hand out the copies to the game's fans.

Elijah Kelley, Amanda Bynes, and Nikki Blonsky all met up with costar James Marsden at The Advocate Magazine's 40th Anniversary Party. Seeing these 4 together sure brought a smile to my face.

Elijah also appeared at Variety's Power of Youth Benefiting St. Jude Children's Hospital and performed. Seeing him sitting at that keyboard singing definitely gets me excited again for his album.

Amanda joined several other young fashion stars at US Weekly's Hollywood Hot Party, looking fierce, might I add.


And last, but never the least, Brittany Snow has been out and about all over the place. Faced with the media continuing to prod into her past problems with eating disorders, Brittany still stands strong with a smile on her face as she attended Emmy gifting lounges and showed off Reebok's products for Pink Ribbon Month.

I, personally, have been waiting for more information about Nikki's new movie, Harold. Needless to say, when I was browsing nikkiblonskyfans.com and saw these pictures from on the set, I got a little bit excited. So far, I haven't found much more information, but I hope these pictures of Nikki on the back of an electric wheelchair with Spencer Breslin will tide you over. ;-)

Spain gets a visit

The Hairspray promotions and premieres continue as Zac Efron and Nikki Blonsky visit Spain. Last night Madrid held another premiere for, what is now being called, the 3rd most successful musical movie ever. The two best friends walked down the carpet hand-in-hand, smiles never leaving their faces.

Some videos for you..and I can say that these are by far the funniest I have seen featuring Zac and Nikki. Their host, Rove, was such a riot; coming up with quick one liners faster than you can say Hairspray! Nikki and Zac had some smart-alec quips too and I'm sure they won everyone over with their charm.

Zac and Nikki made a quick appearance over at Hot 30 2Day FM. They just introduced a song and had a little giggle with the show hosts and here's the audio clip! Listen to Nikki's impromptu singing and Zac's clear amusement. How cute are these 2 people? Even the DJs had a blast!



You hear that? They'll be back for another proper interview so stay tuned. We'll look out for snippets and pics for you!

Good Morning, Sydney

All right, ladies and gents of Australia, get ready to cover your ears. Fangirls? Start squeeing! Zac Efron and Nikki Blonsky are officially promoting Hairspray down under. Getting off the plane early this morning they headed straight for the interviews, starting at the morning show Sunrise. Watch the video below. (We'll replace it with better quality if we find it)



Next we saw them on the gold carpet at the premiere. The two starlets smiled and waved while signing autographs and looking chummy as always. What can we say? These two are obviously very good friends and to see them happy and smiling together? It makes us smile too.

Hairspray FTW!

The Teen Choice Awards aired last night and was full of pictures and wins for our favorite cast.

The evening started with an appearance of our own Miss Nikki Blonsky with director Adam Shankman.


Zac Efron also flashed his smile as he arrived, making all of us fangirls swoon once more.

Soon after the show began we saw the awards start floating in. Zac, along with the rest of the cast of High School Musical 2, was honored with a special award celebrating it's record-breaking success of the premiere of the highly anticipated movie. In addition to their special award, the cast was also honored with "The Choice TV Movie Award."

Zac's surfboard trophies kept coming as he was named "Choice Hottie" with Good Luck, Chuck star Jessica Alba. She, like the rest of us, swooned over Zac saying "..I get to stand next to gorgeous boys, like this one."


And last, but certainly not least, our movie, Hairspray, won "The Choice Summer Movie" Award. Zac had left by this point, but John Travolta, Nikki Blonsky, and Elijah Kelley were there and all smiles while accepting and showing off their surfboard.



All in all, I'd say we saw a pretty successful night for our favorite cast. So now I will leave you with a couple of candids of Nikki and Elijah at the Tiger Electronics Celebrity Retreat Backstage
