Nicest Kids on the town.

Ah, first you all get my sincere apologies for neglecting this lovely blog for the past three or four weeks. Things got a little crazy and my dearest co-blogger is off on a job hunt, all our luck to her :) But, I am back and here to stay.

So, in order to get you guys to forgive me, I am giving you a minor picspam of the events our fave 5 have been at. More images for all events can be found at the photobucket.

First up, Zac Efron. He got to spend some one-on-one time with members, old and new, of the L.A. Dodgers. Talking to his favorite players old and new, you could tell Zac was enjoying what was probably one of his favorite perks of being a "superstar."

Then, in rolls another great perk. Being at the launch party for the biggest game of the year, Halo 3. Pictured below with Master Chief, you could tell Zac had a blast as he played the game and helped hand out the copies to the game's fans.

Elijah Kelley, Amanda Bynes, and Nikki Blonsky all met up with costar James Marsden at The Advocate Magazine's 40th Anniversary Party. Seeing these 4 together sure brought a smile to my face.

Elijah also appeared at Variety's Power of Youth Benefiting St. Jude Children's Hospital and performed. Seeing him sitting at that keyboard singing definitely gets me excited again for his album.

Amanda joined several other young fashion stars at US Weekly's Hollywood Hot Party, looking fierce, might I add.

And last, but never the least, Brittany Snow has been out and about all over the place. Faced with the media continuing to prod into her past problems with eating disorders, Brittany still stands strong with a smile on her face as she attended Emmy gifting lounges and showed off Reebok's products for Pink Ribbon Month.

Sydney White charms the big screen

As I'm sure you all have seen by now, Sydney White is now playing at a theater near you. But, that is no excuse for me to stop you from telling you all I know about it. ;-)

On September 20th, Amanda ran the red carpet again looking fabulous as she posed with director Joe Nussbaum and co-stars Sara Paxton and Matt Long. I swear this girl just gets more gorgeous by the day.

Unfortunately, the box office hasn't seem to love Amanda as much as we do here at The Nicest Kids in Town. Opening weekend the movie ranked 6th overall only bringing in $5,196,380. The following weeks haven't been looking too great either.

However, as a fan who has seen the movie, I can say I do believe it is one of her best. It's funny without being dirty and adult. It has a cute romance story. And who doesn't love the story of Snow White? The seven dorks are absolutely adorable, and you cannot deny the charm Amanda brings to the big screen.

What am I saying? If you haven't seen the movie yet, go find a movie buddy and a bucket of popcorn and check out this flick. I mean, c'mon ladies, Matt Long should be enough to draw you in. Will it help if I tell you he sings?

Amanda Bynes, such a busy girl

With the Hollywood premiere of Sydney White coming up next Thursday, just the night before its theatrical debut, Amanda Bynes is nothing if not a busy, busy girl. Tuesday morning she appeared on The Early Show to talk about the movie and her life as a celebrity. She spoke about feeling "ugly" and "awkward" growing up. She's a comic book junkie. She also contributes a lot of her "good girl" lifestyle to the impact of her upbringing. You can see the full article here.

This week you can find Amanda several other places. On the 12th she will be co-hosting MTV's TRL. Friday the 14th, she will be appearing as the guest on Rachel Ray. Saturday don't miss her as she hosts a Made marathon on MTV. Lastly, next Monday night she will be on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Don't forget to set your tivos ;) But if you do, you know we'll have all the goods for you.

Finally, IESB has 7 clips from Sydney White up on their website along with an interview and fun stills from the movie, including ones like this:

Freshman year is no fairytale

Amanda Bynes taps into her inner fairy tale princess in the modern retelling of Snow White. Sydney White and the Seven Dorks is due to hit theaters September 21st 2007. While critics might consider this typical teen fair or the clichéd teen rom com (romantic comedy), Amanda is a natural comedy actress and we think she's going to cause a splash..like she always does. Smallville fans, the very likable John Schneider (Jonathan Kent in the show) also stars in this.
